The Book of Jumu'ah, the Two Festivals, the Prayer for Rain, the Eclipse Prayer, and Funerals-03a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: And Qutaybah ibn Sa'id and Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, saying: Hatim ibn Isma'il narrated to us. And Qutaybah narrated to us, and 'Abd al-'Aziz—meaning al-Darawardi—narrated to us. Both of them narrated from Ja'far, from his father, from 'Ubayd Allah ibn Abi Rafi', who said: Marwan appointed Abu Hurayrah as his deputy, similarly, except that in Hatim's narration, it is stated that he recited Surat al-Jumu'ah in the first prostration and "When the hypocrites come to you" in the last one. And 'Abd al-'Aziz's narration is like the hadith of Sulayman ibn Bilal.

The Shaykh : Here, the term "prostration" is used to refer to the unit of prayer, and this is frequently used, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
and whoever catches up with a prostration of 'Asr before the sun sets, then he has caught up with it. من أدرك سجدة من العصر قبل أن تغرب الشمس فقد أدرك العصر
