The Book of Jihad, Expeditions, and Authority-07b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Abu 'Amir 'Abdullah ibn Barrad al-As'ari and Muhammad ibn al-'Ala' al-Hamdani narrated to us, and the wording is that of Abu 'Amir. They said: Abu Usamah narrated to us from Burayd ibn Abi Burdah from Abi Burdah from Abi Musa, who said:
We set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on a military expedition, and we were six men sharing a single camel, taking turns riding it. He said: Our feet became infected, and my feet became infected and my toenails fell off, so we would wrap rags around our feet. The expedition was named "Dhat al-Riqa'" (the Expedition of the Rags) because of the rags we bound around our feet. Abu Burdah said: Abi Musa narrated this hadith, and then he disliked it. He said: It seemed as though he disliked that he had disclosed something of his deeds.
, Abu Usamah said: And someone other than Burayd added to me, and Allah will reward him for it.
