The reciter: Isma'il ibn Ibrahim and 'Abd ibn Humayd narrated to us, saying: 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, and Ma'mar narrated to us from al-Zuhri from 'Urwah from Abu Humayd al-Sa'idi, who said:
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) appointed Ibn al-Lutbiyyah, a man from the Azd tribe, as a collector of alms. He came with the money and handed it over to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), saying, "This is your money, and this is a gift that was given to me." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, "Why did you not sit in your father's and mother's house and see if anyone would give you a gift or not?" Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up to deliver a sermon.
Then he mentioned something similar to the hadith of Sufyan.
