Continuation of the discussion on the ruling regarding suicide operations.

The Shaykh : And whoever kills himself is eternally abiding in the Fire of Hell forever, as stated in the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), because this is killing oneself not for the benefit of Islam. If he kills himself and kills ten, a hundred, or two hundred, Islam does not benefit from it, and people do not become Muslims. This is unlike the story of the boy, in which many people became Muslims; everyone who was present in that region became Muslim.
As for the fact that ten, twenty, a hundred, or two hundred of the enemy may die, this does not necessitate that people will become Muslim. Rather, the enemy may become more stubborn and their hearts may be further incited by this action, causing them to attack the Muslims with even greater severity. This is seen in what the Jews did with the people of Palestine. When one of the people of Palestine used these explosives and killed six or seven, they took sixty people or more as a result. Thus, no benefit was obtained for the Muslims, nor for those in whose ranks these explosives were detonated. For this reason, we see that what some people do of this suicide, we see that it is killing the soul without right, and that it is a cause for entering the Fire, may Allah protect us from it, and that its perpetrator is not a martyr. However, if a person does this while interpreting the evidence and believing that it is permissible, then we hope that he will be saved from sin. But as for martyrdom being recorded for him, no, because he did not follow the path of martyrdom. However, he is saved from sin because he is interpreting the evidence, and whoever exerts effort and makes a mistake has a reward. The rest of the discussion on the hadith will come, if Allah wills.
