Its ruling and conditions
Your Eminence! Often, some people, while conversing, quote verses from the Noble Qur'an or from the Sunnah on the basis of joking,Its example is: as if one of them says: So-and-so [Ash-Shams: 13] or as if one of them says to another: [Al-Kafirun: 6] and today we saw Nūn and they do not know.
And so on,And from the Sunnah: as if one of them, when reminded and advised to leave off sin, says: My brother, (piety is here) or he says: (Indeed, religion is ease) and so on. What is your statement regarding such people, and what is your advice to them?
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
As for the one who says this on the basis of mockery and ridicule, he is in great danger, and it may be said that he has exited Islam; because the Qur'an is not permissible under any circumstances to be taken as a joke, and likewise the rulings of the Shari'ah, as Allah Blessed and Exalted is He said: [At-Tawbah: 64-66] .
Therefore, the scholars (may Allah have mercy on them) said: Whoever says a word of disbelief, even in jest, becomes a disbeliever, and it is obligatory for him to repent, and to believe that he has repented from apostasy, so he renews his Islam. Thus, the verses of Allah the Mighty and Exalted and His Messenger are too great to be taken as a joke or jest.
As for the one who cites a verse regarding an incident that occurred and happened, there is nothing wrong with that, for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cited verses regarding incidents,So he cited the saying of the Exalted: [At-Taghabun: 15] when al-Hasan and al-Husayn stumbled in their garments,So he descended from the pulpit (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: [At-Taghabun: 15] so citing verses regarding incidents is not a problem, but applying verses to what Allah did not intend, especially if that is accompanied by mockery and ridicule, the matter is very serious.

لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِيَ دِينِAnd so on,And from the Sunnah: as if one of them, when reminded and advised to leave off sin, says: My brother, (piety is here) or he says: (Indeed, religion is ease) and so on. What is your statement regarding such people, and what is your advice to them?

(64) They hypocrites are apprehensive lest a surah be revealed about them, informing them of what is in their hearts. Say, "Mock [as you wish]; indeed, Allah will expose that which you fear." (65) And if you ask them, they will surely say, "We were only conversing and playing." Say, "Is it Allah and His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?" (66) Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after your belief. If We pardon one faction of you - We will punish another faction because they were criminals.
