The Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen concluded an alliance with the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party and the Nasserist Unity Party in Yemen

The questioner : He said: The second question: There is often debate and discussion among the Salafis regarding the permissibility or impermissibility of charitable associations. What does Shaykh Al-Albani say about that? It is known that these associations are supervised by the people of the Sunnah. The Shaykh answered this question verbatim two nights ago, yes, and the tape is available for anyone who wishes to know the answer in detail. The third question: It was said that the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen concluded an alliance with the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party and the Nasserist Unity Party in Yemen.
The student : Praise be to Allah.

The Shaykh : May Allah have mercy on you.

The questioner : And they cite certain texts as evidence for this alliance, such as seeking assistance from polytheists and the alliance of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with the Jews. Is such an alliance permissible in the Shari'ah?

The Shaykh : First: The basis for answering this issue is His saying (Blessed and Exalted is He):
And do not incline toward those who do wrong, lest you be touched by the Fire وَلَا تَرْكَنُوا إِلَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا فَتَمَسَّكُمُ النَّارُ
[Hud 11:113]
. Second: Citing what the Messenger (peace be upon him) did in terms of forming alliances with some disbelievers at certain times, it is not appropriate to analogize the alliance of a group of Muslims with a group of misguided or deviant Muslims to that. This is because this group of Muslims analogizing themselves to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) involves two attributes that do not apply to these Muslims. The first is that he was a protected Prophet, so one who is not protected cannot be analogized to him. The second is that he was a ruler responsible for the Ummah, whereas these people are not so; rather, they represent themselves and some of those who are partisan to them, and they do not represent the other Muslims. If they had been elected from the Islamic world and had a president who was pledged allegiance to in an Islamic manner, and this pledged president was either a scholar and independent legal reasoner who takes rulings directly from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and interprets them according to the methodology of our righteous predecessors, as you heard in some of the answers just now, or at least, if he is not such a scholar, he must have a committee or a Shura council under his authority containing such scholars, and he seeks their opinion in taking certain positions, such as this position, which is the alliance or reconciliation with a group of disbelievers or polytheists. Therefore, the argument of those mentioned in the question is, in reality, one of hundreds of proofs that they are not fit to manage the affairs of the Ummah, due to their distance from the correct knowledge derived from the Book of Allah, as we mentioned, and from the Hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). This is because they do not distinguish between the protected Prophet on one hand, and the supreme ruler pledged to by all Muslims on the other hand. They analogize a small group and faction that does not represent the Muslim Ummah to the Muslim ruler, especially since he is the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). This analogy, as the jurists say, is like analogizing blacksmiths to angels, or an analogy with a difference, which is clearer in the principles of jurisprudence. This is the answer.
