It is permissible for a person to ask now about whatever matters of his religion occur to him after the death of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the cessation of revelation

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), one should not ask about anything that was left unaddressed
Verily the people before you went to their doom because they had put too many questions to their Prophets and then disagreed with their teachings.
Sahih Muslim 1337b
But in our time, after the cessation of revelation with the death of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), ask, ask about everything you need, because the matter is settled, the matter is settled now, there is no addition or subtraction, but in the era of legislation, it could be added to or subtracted from, but now, ask. As for the understanding of some common people, they tell you: do not ask
do not ask about things which, if they are shown to you, will distress you
[Al-Ma'idah 5:101]
Leave me what I have left for you
The Messenger says:
Verily the people before you went to their doom because they had put too many questions
Sahih Muslim 1337b
Do not ask. You find him committing what is forbidden and leaving what is obligatory, and he says, "I am not one to ask"
do not ask about things which, if they are shown to you, will distress you
[Al-Ma'idah 5:101]
Until some of them are told, "Do you see this is forbidden, O son of the noble one? This is forbidden, ask the scholars," and he says:
do not ask about things which, if they are shown to you, will distress you
[Al-Ma'idah 5:101]
This is not permissible. It is obligatory for a person to gain knowledge of the religion of Allah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
He upon whom Allah intends to bestow goodness, He confers upon him an insight in religion
Sahih Muslim 1037a
And Allah grants success.
The reader: The author (may Allah have mercy on him) transmitted: "From Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who said:
Leave me what I have left for you, for only those before you were destroyed by their many questions and their disagreement with their prophets, so if I forbid you from something, avoid it, and if I command you with something, do as much of it as you are able
Sahih Ibn Hibban 15:13
Agreed upon"
