The Shaykh : rejoicing in it. As for he who is given his record in his left hand, he is the opposite of that; he wishes he had not been given the book, let alone that others would look at it. As for the second verse mentioned by the author, it is the statement of Allah the Exalted: [Al-Waqi'ah 56:8] meaning Allah the Exalted mentioned that people will be in three categories on the Day of Resurrection: the companions of the right, the companions of the left, and the forerunners. The forerunners are the near ones, the companions of the right are the saved, and the companions of the left are the perished. So they are three categories on the Day of Resurrection, and they are also three categories when the soul leaves the body. Allah mentioned their conditions on the Day of Resurrection in Surat al-Waqi'ah and mentioned their conditions at the time of death at the end of it, saying: [Al-Waqi'ah 56:83-89] The near ones are the forerunners who race to the good in every type of good. [Al-Waqi'ah 56:90-94] And these are the companions of the left, may Allah protect us from them. They are the disbelievers and the misguided. May Allah protect us and you from their state. The author (may Allah have mercy on him) indicated in these two verses that the right-handers are the people of virtues always, not in this world or the Hereafter. The rest of the speech on this will come, if Allah wills.
