Question:
(Hadith)
I spend the night with my Lord, who feeds me and gives me drinkأبِيتُ عند رَبِّي يُطْعِمنُي وَيَسْقِينِي
Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 5:170
...?

Answer:
It is a special kind of feeding, meaning: what Allah opens up for him from the sources of intimacy, the breaths of the Holy, and the delight in His intimate conversation. It is not food in the sense of eating; if he were to eat, he would no longer be fasting. But what Allah opens up in his heart of intimacy through the remembrance of Allah and obedience to Him takes the place of food and drink.
