Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
In the marginal notes, regarding the hadith of Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas, it is stated: It was narrated by Abu Dawud and by al-Bayhaqi. In its chain is Musa ibn Ya'qub al-Sam'i, who is poor in memory, and his shaykh, Yahya ibn al-Hasan ibn Uthman, is unknown. However, in this chapter, Abu Dawud and al-Tirmidhi have a hadith from Abu Bakrah: "That the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when a matter came to him that pleased him, would fall down in prostration, giving thanks to Allah the Exalted." Its chain is good. And Ka'b ibn Malik prostrated during the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he was informed of Allah's acceptance of his repentance.

Answer:
This is authentic. When the news of the acceptance of his repentance came to him, Ka'b prostrated to Allah.
