The ruling on one who begins a voluntary prayer and the iqamah is called

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Some scholars say that if one begins a voluntary prayer and the iqamah is called, he should complete the prayer quickly; based on the saying of Allah, the Exalted:
and do not invalidate your deeds.وَلَا تُبْطِلُوا أَعْمَالَكُمْ
[Muhammad:33]?

Answer:
No, the correct ruling is that he should cut it off; based on his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
The prayer of a person who prays alone behind the row is not accepted.لا صلاة لمنفرد خلف الصف
Bulugh al-Maram 2:327
This is a legally established invalidation.
Q: Even if he had bowed in the last rak'ah... such that he would catch the takbir al-ihram... and all that remained for him was two prostrations...?
The Shaykh: If he entered the row after the bowing, there is no harm, just as Abu Bakrah did when he was raised from the bowing and entered the row. And if he did not enter, it appears that the sunnah invalidates his prayer; based on his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
The prayer of a person who prays alone behind the row is not accepted.لا صلاة لمنفرد خلف الصف
Bulugh al-Maram 2:327
So no exception is made from this except the case of Abu Bakrah.
