Question:
The sister/S. S. says in her question: I intend to work in a school where male and female students study together, and they are all over the age of fifteen. This is the only way for me to obtain the money that will allow me to continue my higher university studies? Please give us a ruling—may Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
Free mixing between male and female students in the school is not permissible; rather, it is obligatory that the teaching of boys be separate and the teaching of girls be separate, in order to protect everyone from the causes of fitnah (trial, discord or temptation).
It is not permissible for you to work in co-educational schools, in order to protect your religion and your honor, and to avoid the causes of fitnah (trial, discord or temptation). Allah the Exalted said:
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way outوَمَن يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُ مَخْرَجًا ۝
[At-Talaq 65:2]
and He provides for him from sources he never expected [Al-Talaq: 2-3], and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: :
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him of his matter ease.وَمَن يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ يُسْرًا
[Al-Talaq: 4], and success is from Allah.
