Custody of the Orphan
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: An orphan whose family has passed away, and we took care of him and protected him. He has uncles, and those who wish him well give him some money, and it is possible for us to take some of it, knowing that what is given to him is more than that, and we consider him one of our children. Please advise us—may Allah reward you with good.
Answer: There is no blame on you for taking what is given to him in charity, if it is equal to your expenses on him, or less. As for what exceeds that, you must preserve it for him. And be glad of the great reward for his custody and your kindness to him.
