Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is the grade of authenticity of this hadith:
There is no prayer after the ‘Asr until the sun sets, and there is no prayer after the Fajr until the sun rises, except in Makkah… except in Makkah… except in Makkah…لا صلاة بعد العصر حتى تغرب الشمس ولا صلاة بعد الصبح حتى تطلع الشمس إلا بمكة.. إلا بمكة.. إلا بمكة..
?

Answer:
This hadith with this addition,
Except in Makkahإلا بمكة
, is weak. As for the original text of the hadith, it is established in the two Sahihs and others from a group of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
There is no prayer after the morning prayer till the sun rises, and there is no prayer after the `Asr prayer till the sun sets.لا صلاة بعد الصبح حتى ترتفع الشمس، ولا صلاة بعد العصر حتى تغيب الشمس
Sahih al-Bukhari 586
However, this generality is excepted from the prayer with a cause, according to the most correct of the scholars’ opinions, such as the eclipse prayer, the prayer of circumambulation, and the greeting of the mosque. Indeed, these prayers are prescribed to be performed even in the time of prohibition; due to authentic hadiths that have come regarding this, indicating their exception from the generality. And success is from Allah.
