The ruling on saying, “I sought the help of some trustworthy people”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A person says, “I was assigned a charitable task, so I sought the help of some trustworthy people.” Is there any religious prohibition in his saying, “I sought the help of some trustworthy people,” given that his intention is that they would assist and support him to the best of their ability? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
There is no blame on him for using this phrase if the person he is seeking help from is alive, present, and capable, or if he is contacted by letter or by telephone. However, seeking help from the dead or from absent persons without a tangible means of communication, such as writing or the telephone, is prohibited. The same applies to seeking help from inanimate objects, such as idols, trees, and stars, because that is associating partners with Allah. And success is from Allah.
