What is the ruling on a cup with images on it?

The Shaykh : No, he does not break it. But why do you assume? May Allah guide you. If he cannot do it, what is the problem? It is a layer of paint. How is it not possible?

The questioner : The cup is made of glass.

The Shaykh : Glass cannot be painted.

The questioner : It will come off with the washing.

The Shaykh : No, it will not come off. It will not come off, and when it does come off, we renew it.
