The Ruling on the Duha Prayer for the Pilgrim

What is the ruling on the prayer of the days of Tashreeq, the Duha prayer, and all voluntary prayers during the days of Tashreeq for the pilgrim and for non-pilgrims?

Answer:
The Duha prayer and the night prayer are prescribed for the pilgrim and for non-pilgrims, for the traveler and for others. One prays the Duha and prays at night; it is prescribed for pilgrims, travelers, and others. The traveler and the pilgrim leave off the regular voluntary prayers (rawatib) and pray the midday prayer (Zuhr) as two units, the afternoon prayer ('Asr) as two units, the sunset prayer (Maghrib) as three units, and the night prayer ('Isha') as two units. There are no regular voluntary prayers (rawatib) for them; because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not pray the regular voluntary prayers (rawatib) except for the dawn prayer (Fajr), where he prays its two units before it. As for the Duha prayer, it is prescribed absolutely for all people, and the night prayer is likewise. May Allah reward you with good.
