The Tarji' in the Adhan

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is the tarji' in the first adhan or the second, and is the first adhan in Ramadan or in Ramadan and other times?

Answer:
The tarji' is in every adhan, not just in one adhan. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) taught it to Abu Mahdhura in Makkah. The tarji' is saying: "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah" with a voice that is not loud, then repeating it with a louder voice. This is the tarji': saying the two testimonies with a voice that is not very loud, then repeating them with a louder voice, which is called the tarji'.
As for not doing the tarji' and saying the two testimonies like the adhan of people today, without repeating them, this is the best. This is what Bilal did in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in Madinah, until the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away. Bilal would call the adhan in his presence without the tarji'. The adhan of people today is sufficient; it is the best.
