Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Some people, when I greet them, say "Ahlan wa Marhaban" and do not return the greeting. Should I point this out to them?

The Shaykh : Yes, if you greet a person and he says "Ahlan wa Marhaban," point it out to him. Say, "My brother, this is not enough, and you have not returned the greeting. It is obligatory upon you until now. Point it out to him, for Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has commanded enjoining good and forbidding evil, and He has commanded calling to Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
