Continuation of the Book of Jihad: Allah the Exalted said: ((Fight the disbelievers all together, just as they fight you all together, and know that Allah is with those who fear Him)) and He said:

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
He said, may Allah have mercy on him: "The Book of Jihad. Allah the Exalted said:
And fight against the disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively. And know that Allah is with the righteous [who fear Him].
[At-Tawbah 9:36]
And He said:
Fighting has been enjoined upon you while it is hateful to you. But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not.
[Al-Baqarah 2:216]
And He said:
Go forth, whether light or heavy, and strive with your wealth and your lives in the cause of Allah
[At-Tawbah 9:41]
And He said:
Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah, so they kill and are killed. [It is] a true promise [binding] upon Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur'an. And who is truer to his covenant than Allah? So rejoice in your transaction which you have contracted. And it is that which is the great attainment.
[At-Tawbah 9:111]

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The discussion has previously covered the fact that jihad is of three types, and we spoke about what Allah the Exalted facilitated regarding that. Then the author cited the verses revealed on this matter, saying: Allah the Exalted said:
And fight against the disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively
[At-Tawbah 9:36]
"Kaffah" means: general, all of them. Every disbeliever must be fought and striven against until they say, "There is no god but Allah," establish the prayer, give zakah, fast Ramadan, and perform Hajj to the House, or pay the jizyah from the hand while in a state of humiliation. If they pay the jizyah from the hand while in a state of humiliation, we refrain from fighting them, based on the saying of Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He:
Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture - [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled.
[At-Tawbah 9:29]
It is obligatory upon the Muslims to fight the disbelievers, every disbeliever, from whatever country he may be, whether Russian, American, English, French, Filipino, or otherwise. They must fight every disbeliever unless he submits, until he submits or pays the jizyah from the hand. But if someone asks: How is that to be in this age today? We say: Obligations have conditions, among which is the ability to perform them, based on the saying of Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He:
So fear Allah as much as you are able
[At-Taghabun 64:16]
And He said:
And strive for Allah with the striving due to Him. He has chosen you and has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty
[Al-Hajj 22:78]
It is known that the Muslims today, with great regret, are fighting one another, and they have no thought for the Muslims fighting to raise the word of Allah. This is our opinion of them, and reality bears witness to it, because the Muslims do not want this at all, especially their rulers. What indicates this is what is being done today to our Muslim brothers in Bosnia and Herzegovina: the slaughtering of men as if they were sheep, the violation of honor, the extortion of wealth, and the humiliation of Islam. And this is the greatest [evil]. I do not care if a thousand Muslims are killed as much as I care about it being said that the Muslims have been humiliated for their Islam. The fighting today in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chechnya, Tajikistan, and elsewhere is all to humiliate the Muslims. And the Muslim ummah, with great regret, is now divided and scattered; no one among them has risen to avenge the religion of Allah, Mighty and Majestic. How can they fight the disbelievers themselves? In the present time, it is not possible because of the humiliation that Allah has placed upon the hearts of the rulers in the Muslim lands, and their lack of turning to jihad in the cause of Allah. Rather, some of them may extend the hand of humiliation to their enemy who was fighting them yesterday, and today they extend to him the hand of humiliation and surrender. How can we hope for the Muslims to fight the disbelievers when Allah says, "Fight them"
fight against the disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively
[At-Tawbah 9:36]
and says:
Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress
[Al-Baqarah 2:190]
But with great regret, all of this is gone. To Allah we belong and to Him we return. The human heart constricts with blood and the liver is wounded when one sees what is done to the Muslims who testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and who are in the greatest longing to know the Islamic religion and act upon it, as we hear from our brothers who come from Tajik and other countries that were colonized by the communists. They tell us of their great joy when they find someone to teach them the Islamic religion, and they turn to it, men and women. And yet we leave them to be slaughtered. A few months ago, two hundred thousand Muslims were killed and their bodies were thrown into the river—two hundred thousand, a whole village or more than a whole village, indeed a city. And the Muslims, we ask Allah for guidance for us and for them, did not raise their heads over it, or if I may say, did not see in it any harm, except what Allah wills. For this reason, we are now, with great regret, in a state of humiliation after which there is no humiliation. The cause of that is that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has afflicted many of the Muslims with complete turning away from their religion; they do not want anything but the display of this world and the luxury that... For this reason, you find them talking about luxury, and this is such and such, and they do not care... except what Allah wills. As for the speech of the Lord, Mighty and Majestic, you hear it:
And fight against the disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively
[At-Tawbah 9:36]
"Just as they fight you" contains an incitement, meaning that by nature, by the claim of his Islam, the one who fights him will fight him. "Those who fight you, just as they fight you all together" means: avenge yourselves, at least, regardless of whether this is a religion or Islam. But with great regret, the matter is the opposite. Rather, we are now, with great regret, citizens among us who encourage the enemies of Islam to fight the Muslims. Look at the espionage that has filled the earth in our lands; most of them are disbelievers, perhaps eighty percent are disbelievers and the rest are Muslims, despite the presence of Muslims in the poor Muslim countries that are invaded by the Christians from every direction. You find the citizen whose only concern is to go to his work, and Satan tells him that the disbeliever is a better worker than the Muslim. The Muslim says, "I want to go pray, I want to fast Ramadan, I want to perform Hajj, I want to perform 'Umrah," and the disbeliever is always working, and Satan beautifies his evil deed for him. He leaves his Muslim brothers and brings in these disbelievers for the sake of the debris of this world. Where is our progress from? And where is our fighting in the cause of Allah when the matter is like this? And the person reads these verses and says, "Glory be to Allah, were these revealed to others? Or were they revealed to us? Are these for us and not for others?" It is as if they do not move the emotions, as if they are not the speech of the Lord of the Worlds. And the Muslims do not care about this; they read them every day, and yet they do not stir.
fight against the disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively
[At-Tawbah 9:36]
And He said:
Fighting has been enjoined upon you
[Al-Baqarah 2:216]
"Kataba" (He has written/ordained). Who wrote it? Allah. And "kataba" means: made obligatory.
decreed upon you is fasting
[Al-Baqarah 2:183]
Fighting has been enjoined upon you
[Al-Baqarah 2:216]
All of it is obligatory upon us.
while it is hateful to you وهو كره لكم
[Al-Baqarah 2:216]
You dislike it, but it is good.
But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you
[Al-Baqarah 2:216]
If you disliked it, it is good. What is the good? Be patient.
(169) And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision, (170) Rejoicing in what Allah has bestowed upon them of His bounty, and they receive good tidings about those [to be martyred] after them who have not yet joined them - that there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve. (171) They receive good tidings of favor from Allah and bounty and [of the fact] that Allah does not allow the reward of believers to be lost - ولا تحسبن الذين قتلوا في سبيل الله أمواتًا بل أحياء عند ربهم يرزقون * فرحين بما آتاهم الله من فضله ويستبشرون بالذين لم يلحقوا بهم من خلفهم ألا خوف عليهم ولا هم يحزنون * يستبشرون بنعمة من الله وفضل وأن الله لا يضيع أجر المؤمنين
[Ali 'Imran 3:169-171]
This is the great good. And as will come, God willing, in the third verse, that Allah purchased from the believers their wealth, etc. Then you, O Muslim, if you fight and are wounded or become a martyr, do you think your enemy is safe?
And do not weaken in pursuit of the enemy
[An-Nisa 4:104]
Meaning: in their pursuit.
If you should be suffering - so are they suffering as you are suffering
[An-Nisa 4:104]
Meaning: the wound in you, and your enemy is like you; he is pained as you are pained. But
but you expect from Allah that which they expect not
[An-Nisa 4:104]
They have nothing but the Fire. As for you, you hope from Allah the stations of the martyrs.
but you expect from Allah that which they expect not
[An-Nisa 4:104]
And when Abu Sufyan stood up before he submitted on the Day of Uhud, he said: "A day for a day, and the war is even" Meaning: he boasts, saying, "You defeated us at Badr, and now we have defeated you." What did the Muslims say? They said: "Not equal. Our dead are in Paradise and your dead are in the Fire" A great difference. So fighting is disliked by us and disliked by the enemy, but there is a difference between when one of us or one of them is killed, or when one of us or one of them is wounded. So we ask Allah the Exalted to establish the knowledge of jihad, the jihad of the selves and the jihad of the enemies, and to guide the rulers of the Muslims to establish the religion of Allah openly and secretly, and to protect them from evils, and to protect them from the bad inner circle that harms them and does not benefit them. Indeed, He is Able to do all things.
