Allah is the Greatest. The Shaykh: So the Commander of the Faithful was pleased with his answer and ordered a luxurious permanent stipend for him and increased his salary.

The Shaykh : He says that Malik ibn Sulayman said, "Ibrahim ibn Tahan had a luxurious salary from the public treasury which he received at all times, and he was generous with it. Once he was asked in the caliph's presence, and he said, 'I do not know.' They said to him, 'You receive so much and so much every month, and you do not know how to ask?' He said, 'I only take for what I am good at. If I took for what I am not good at, the public treasury would be exhausted by me, and what I am not good at would not be exhausted.'"
The student: Allahu Akbar.
