The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions:
He said -may Allah have mercy on him-: "The chapter on the prohibition of squandering wealth in other than the ways in which the Shari'ah has permitted it:
Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Verily, Allah likes three things for you and disapproves three things for you. He likes that you should worship Him Alone, not to associate anything with Him (in worship) and to hold fast to the Rope of Allah and not to be divided among yourselves; and He disapproves for you irrelevant talk, persistent questioning and the squandering of the wealth.
Riyad as-Salihin 1781
Narrated by Muslim.
And from Warrad, the scribe of al-Mughirah, who said: Al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah dictated to me in a letter to Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him):
that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to supplicate at the end of each obligatory Salat (prescribed prayer): "La ilaha illallahu, wahadahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku, wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa 'ala kulli shai'in Qadir. Allahumma la mani'a lima a'taita, wa la mu'tiya lima mana'ta, wa la yanfa'u dhal-jaddi mink-al-jaddu. (There is no true god except Allah, the One, Who has no partner. His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He is Able to do everything. O Allah! Nobody can withhold what You give; and nobody can give what You withhold; and the high status of a person is of no avail against Your Will)." He also wrote to him that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to forbid irrelevant talk, wasteful expenditure, persistent questioning, disobedience of parents (especially mothers), infanticide of daughters by burying them alive, depriving others of their rights and acquisition of property wrongfully.

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful:
The discussion on the beginning of this chapter has already taken place, which is the prohibition of squandering wealth except with permission from the Shari'ah. In these hadiths are the hadiths of Abu Hurayrah and al-Mughirah: that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Indeed, Allah has disliked for you backbiting, excessive questioning, and the wasting of wealth.
Sahih Ibn Hibban 47:168
:
"Qayl wa qal" means that a person occupies himself with talk, transmitting it, saying so-and-so said this, and it was said so-and-so, as is found in many of the bankrupt people today who fill their gatherings with their saying what was said today, and so-and-so said this, and what do you say about so-and-so, and similar talk by which time is wasted.
And the Shari'ah is wise; just as it prohibited the squandering of wealth, which Allah made the sustenance for people, it also prohibited the squandering of time. So, squandering time in idle talk and excessive questioning is undoubtedly more harmful to a person than squandering wealth. Squandering wealth may be replaced, but squandering time cannot be replaced. Time goes and does not return. For this reason, a person must avoid delving into idle talk, and what do you say about so-and-so, and what do you say about so-and-so, and similar things.
Likewise, excessive questioning: and excessive questioning may mean questioning people, meaning do not ask people, do not ask too much. And if the question is a question for money, it is forbidden,
Rather, the person continues to ask and ask until the Day of Resurrection comes and there is not a piece of flesh on his face
and refuge is sought in Allah.
And it may mean excessive questioning about the conditions of people without need and without benefit, what do you say about so-and-so, is he rich or poor, knowledgeable or ignorant, and similar things.
And it may mean excessive questioning about knowledge that a person does not need, especially in the era of Prophethood, because it is feared that a person may ask about something that has not been forbidden, and it becomes forbidden because of his asking, or about something that has not become obligatory, and it becomes obligatory because of his asking.
But the last of these is restricted to when a person does not need to ask. If he needs it, like a student of knowledge who asks and seeks clarification, then there is no harm in asking and seeking clarification and removing confusion from himself.
And he, may the prayers and blessings of Allah be upon him,
to be undutiful to one's mother
Sahih al-Bukhari 7292
: means regarding the severing of mothers from their rights. The mother has a great right over the child, whether male or female, to the extent that she is more entitled than the father,
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked, “Which people are most deserving of my good company?” He said, “Your mother.” He said, “Then who?” He said, “Your mother.” He said, “Then who?” He said, “Your mother.” He said, “Then who?” He said, “Then your father.”
.
So, the mother has a great and enormous right because she carried her child reluctantly, gave birth to him reluctantly, nursed him reluctantly, and exhausted her night and day. So she has a great right.
Likewise, undutifulness to fathers, which is also one of the major sins. But the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned undutifulness to mothers because it is more severe.
(4) and to be undutiful to one's mother (5) and to bury the daughters alive
Sahih al-Bukhari 7292
: The burying of daughters alive: it is the foolish custom of the pre-Islamic age of ignorance that when a girl was born to a person, he would bury her, and refuge is sought in Allah, burying her while she is alive:
(58) And when one of them is informed of [the birth of] a female, his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief. (59) He hides himself from the people because of the ill of which he has been informed. Should he keep it in humiliation or bury it in the ground? Unquestionably, evil is what they decide.
[An-Nahl 16:58-59]
: meaning he hides from people from the evil of what he has been given
Should he keep it in humiliation or bury it in the ground?
[An-Nahl 16:59]
: meaning does he keep her with humiliation and indifference to her,
or bury it in the ground
[An-Nahl 16:59]
: meaning he buries him while he is alive, " until some of them, and refuge is sought in Allah, would dig a hole for his daughter, and some dust would fly onto his beard, while he intended to bury her, so he brushed the dust from his beard and buried her, and refuge is sought in Allah ", to this extent, meaning hearts harder than stones, until even animals do not do this to their offspring, and these people, and refuge is sought in Allah, do this. He digs for her to bury her while she is brushing the dust from his beard, then he buries her, and refuge is sought in Allah.
"And some of them would dig for his daughter, and when she sensed it, she would stand and struggle with him, saying 'O father, O father,' and he would hold her and throw her down until he buried her, we seek refuge in Allah ", we ask Allah for well-being, along with the great reward in taking care of daughters:
No person takes charge of three daughters and treats them well, except that they will be a shield for him from the Fire. They said, “And two, O Messenger of Allah?” He said, “And two.” They said, “And one?” He said, “And one.”
, and Imam Ahmad -may Allah have mercy on him- when it was said to him: "A daughter was born to you," he said: "Females were born to the prophets", females were born to the prophets. The prophets, may the prayers and blessings of Allah be upon them, have daughters born to them. So here is the noblest of the prophets, may the prayers and blessings of Allah be upon him, Muhammad, who had four daughters and three sons. Four daughters and three sons. And those who reached puberty among them were the daughters, while the sons were young. The eldest of them, Ibrahim, died at sixteen months, one year and four months, an infant. And he had a wet nurse in Paradise for Ibrahim, the son of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). As for the four daughters, three of them died in his lifetime, may the prayers and blessings of Allah be upon him, and they are: Zaynab, Ruqayyah, and Umm Kulthum. And the fourth, Fatimah, died a few months after him.
So, the result is that if Allah blesses a person with daughters and he takes care of them and treats them well, they are a shield for him from the Fire.
And withholding and demanding.
: meaning and he prohibits withholding and demanding. This is an allusion to stinginess and miserliness. "Mani'" means he withholds and does not give, and does not be generous with wealth or self. "Wa hat" means he demands. So, and refuge is sought in Allah, he is a miserly, stingy person who is never satisfied and does not benefit. And Allah is the One who grants success.
