The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions:
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) transmitted, in the context of the hadiths in the chapter on the hadiths of the Dajjal and the signs of the Hour, among others:
"From Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The first matter concerning which judgment will be passed among the people on the Day of Resurrection will be bloodshed.
Sunan Ibn Majah 2615Sahih (Darussalam)
Agreed upon.
And from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The Angels were born out of light and the Jinns were born out of the spark of fire and Adam was born as he has been defined (in the Qur'an) for youخُلقت الملائكة من نور، وخلق الجان من مارج من نار، وخلق آدم مما وصف لكم
Sahih Muslim 2996
Narrated by Muslim.
And from her (may Allah be pleased with her), she said:
The conduct of the Prophet (ﷺ) was entirely according to the Qur'an
Riyad as-Salihin 1847
Narrated by Muslim as part of a long hadith.
And from her (may Allah be pleased with her), she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
He who loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him; and he who dislikes to meet Allah, Allah abhors to meet him." I ('Aishah) said: "O Messenger of Allah! So far as the feelings of aversion against death is concerned, we all have this feeling." Thereupon he said, "I do not mean that. What I meant is that when a (true) believer is given the glad tidings of the Mercy of Allah, His Pleasures and His Jannah (at the time of death), he loves to meet Allah, and Allah also loves to meet him. When a disbeliever is given the news of the Torment of Allah and His Wrath (at the time of death), he dislikes to meet Allah and Allah also abhors to meet him.
Riyad as-Salihin 1848
Narrated by Muslim"

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful:
These hadiths are among the scattered hadiths that al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned at the end of his book *Riyad al-Salihin*:
Among them is the hadith of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him): That the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The first matter concerning which judgment will be passed among the people on the Day of Resurrection will be bloodshed.
Sunan Ibn Majah 2615Sahih (Darussalam)
: And that is because Allah the Exalted will separate between the servants on the Day of Resurrection and judge between them. As for what is between Him and the servants, His judgment revolves between justice and favor; either He will reward with justice or He will reward with favor.
And as for what is between people, one with another, He will reward with justice, so every person among them will be given his right without any decrease or increase. So the first thing for which the servant will be held accountable regarding the rights of Allah is the prayer; the first thing for which he will be held accountable is the prayer. If he performed it well, he has succeeded and prospered. But if he neglected it, he is more negligent of what is besides it, because whoever neglects the prayer has no one to enjoin good upon him or forbid evil, as Allah the Exalted said:
Recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing
[Al-'Ankabut 29:45]
.
As for what is between the servants, the first thing for which judgment will be passed between them is blood: killing is the first thing, then wealth and honor. Killing is sometimes with right and sometimes without right, and the intended meaning here is killing without right. This is the first thing for which judgment will be passed between people on the Day of Resurrection.
In this hadith is the affirmation of the judgment on the Day of Resurrection and that it is a reality, and that it is necessary that every wronged person be given his right.
But here is an issue that arises: A person comes to someone who has wronged him by backbiting, falsely accusing him of zina, or something similar, and then asks him for forgiveness after he has repented to Allah and regretted it. He says to the one who has the right: "Forgive me, I am a sinner, and I am now seeking forgiveness from Allah and repenting to Him. Forgive me," and he apologizes. But the one who has the right does not accept; he says: "No, I do not forgive you. I want my right on the Day of Resurrection." Here we say: If Allah knows from the servant the sincerity of the repentance, then Allah the Exalted will take upon Himself the right of this human being who refused to forgive him. And the same applies to wealth: if a person had a dispute with you and you denied his money, and you owed him money but you denied it, and then afterwards you repented to Allah, acknowledged it, and went to return it.
