Benefits of the Hadith: (The Jews lied; if Allah had willed to create it, you would not have been able to prevent it).

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As for this hadith, as you know it in their story, it contains several benefits:
First: It clarifies that if a person speaks about something he is shy to mention in order to seek a ruling, there is no harm in it. From where is this taken? From his statement? And I?
The student:
but I want (from her) what a man wants (from a woman) أريد ما يريد الرجال
Bulugh al-Maram 8:70
.

The Shaykh : No, his intention was to be explicit:
And I practice coitus interruptus with her وأنا أعزل عنها
, because he explicitly stated that he was practicing coitus interruptus.
It can be inferred from this: that what we have mentioned previously, that among the worst of people in rank on the Day of Resurrection is the man who has intercourse with a woman and she with him, and he discloses her secret, is only if there is no need, because this involves a type of secrecy.
And among its benefits: it is permissible for a person to dislike what causes him financial harm, and it is not said that this is greed for the world, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) approved the man’s statement:
I dislike that she become pregnant وأنا أكره أن تحمل
Bulugh al-Maram 8:70
.
And among its benefits: it is permissible to deviate from having many children if there is a legitimate reason, because if he disliked his slave woman becoming pregnant, his children from her would be few, even though the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) encourages having many children.
So we say: if reducing the number of children is for a legitimate interest, there is no harm.
And among its benefits: using euphemism for something one is shy to mention if there is no need for explicitness, due to his statement:
And I want what the man wants وأنا أريد ما يريد الرجل
Sunan al-Bayhaqi 10:1647
, so here there is no need for explicitness, as he had previously explicitly stated that he was having intercourse and practicing coitus interruptus.
And among its benefits: considering the statements of one who has knowledge, even if he is a disbeliever, due to his statement:
The Jews reported that the younger one was killed إن اليهود تحدثوا أنه موؤدة الصغرى
, for if this statement did not have an effect on their hearts, he would not have mentioned it to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).
And among its benefits: if someone tells you something and you doubt his report, or his ruling, or his fatwa, then you have the right, or it is obligatory upon you, to ask one who removes the doubt, because when the Jewish man told the Companion this, he asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about it.
And among the benefits of this hadith: the indication of the permissibility of coitus interruptus, by the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) refutation of the Jews.
And among its benefits: clarifying that if Allah (Mighty and Majestic) wills something, then the cause for preventing it is of no avail, due to His statement:
If Allah intends to create it, you cannot turn it away. لو أراد الله أن يخلقه ما استطعت أن تصرفه
Sunan Abi Dawud 2171Sahih (Al-Albani)
, and how many are those who treat to remove diseases but fail, and how many are those who try to rise to something but fail, because Allah did not will it, so the will of Allah the Exalted is above everything:
And you do not will except that Allah wills وما تشاؤون إلا أن يشاء الله
[Al-Insan 76:30]
.
