Explanation of the Book of Marriage-15

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :" And from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amir ibn Rabi'ah, from his father (may Allah be pleased with him):
The Prophet (ﷺ) gave his approval of the marriage of a woman for two sandals أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أجاز نكاح امرأة على نعلين
Bulugh al-Maram 8:79
Al-Tirmidhi narrated it and graded it authentic, and he was contradicted in this "
:
Yes, he said:
gave his approval of the marriage of a woman for two sandals أجاز نكاح امرأة على نعلين
Bulugh al-Maram 8:79
: "Permitted" means he ruled it permissible, or "permitted" means he executed it, and both are correct, because if it is permissible by the Shari'ah, it becomes a voluntary gift, do you understand?
If it is permissible by the Shari'ah, it becomes a voluntary gift.
And his saying:
For a pair of sandals على نعلين
: Here he mentioned the sandals generally, but they must be known to the two spouses. As for us, it does not matter to us whether the sandals are known or not; the important thing is that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted [marriage] for a pair of sandals.
He says: " Al-Tirmidhi graded it authentic and he was contradicted in this " :
The meaning of "he was contradicted" is that [other scholars] did not agree with the grading of authenticity. In any case, whether the hadith is authentic or not, the sandals are wealth, and Allah the Exalted said:
that you seek them [in marriage] with [gifts from] your property أن تبتغوا بأموالكم
[An-Nisa 4:24]
And on this basis, if a man marries a woman for a pair of sandals, the marriage is valid. If he marries her for a head covering, it is valid. If he marries her for a shirt, it is valid. The important thing is that if he marries her for the smallest amount of wealth, the marriage is valid.
