A teacher instructing students outside of school (private lessons)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: Your Eminence, some students are asking about seeking the help of certain teachers to instruct them outside of school in what they have not understood, in exchange for a sum of money, knowing that it is the student who insists on this with the teacher. Does the ruling differ if the student is studying with the teacher in the same school? And does this conflict with his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
The search for knowledge is an obligation laid on every Muslimطلب العلم فريضة على كل مسلم

A: There is nothing wrong with a student seeking the help of a teacher outside the classroom to teach him and help him understand the subjects he is studying, whether the teacher is the one who teaches him in class or another teacher, unless the school regulations prohibit it. In that case, the student must adhere to the instructions given to him. However, if there are no regulations prohibiting it, there is no harm in some teachers instructing and teaching them outside of class hours, whether at home, in the mosque, or elsewhere. There is no blame in that.
