Allah the Exalted said: [At-Tawbah 9:51] Is the evil that befalls us something Allah has written for us? And if the answer is yes, what is the meaning of His saying: [An-Nisa 4:79]?
A. Kh, Gh. - 'Afiyf -
A: All that the servants do, whether good deeds or bad deeds, is all by divine decree, as He said: [al-Qamar:49] And He the Exalted said: [al-Hadid:22] And He the Exalted said: [al-Tawbah:51] And yet, the good deeds are by the grace of Allah; for it is He who decreed them and guided the servant to do them, so to Him belongs all praise for that. As for the bad deeds, they are by the decree of Allah, and their causes are the actions and sins of the servants, as He said: [al-Shura:30] And He said: [Ar-Ra'd 13:11] the verse [al-Ra'd:11].
And He the Exalted decreed both the good deeds and the bad deeds, and guided the servant to do the good deeds, but did not guide the sinners to leave the bad deeds, for a profound wisdom and causes that the servants bring about. And He the Exalted is the Praiseworthy in every state, due to the perfection of His knowledge, the perfection of His wisdom, and His justice.
Say, "Never will we be struck except by what Allah has decreed for us
قُلْ لَنْ يُصِيبَنَا إِلا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَنَاWhat comes to you of good is from Allah, but what comes to you of evil, [O man], is from yourself
مَا أَصَابَكَ مِنْ حَسَنَةٍ فَمِنَ اللَّهِ وَمَا أَصَابَكَ مِنْ سَيِّئَةٍ فَمِنْ نَفْسِكَA. Kh, Gh. - 'Afiyf -
A: All that the servants do, whether good deeds or bad deeds, is all by divine decree, as He said:
Indeed, all things We created with predestination.
إِنَّا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَاهُ بِقَدَرٍNo disaster strikes upon the earth or among yourselves except that it is in a register before We bring it into being
مَا أَصَابَ مِنْ مُصِيبَةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلا فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ إِلا فِي كِتَابٍ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْْ نَبْرَأَهَاSay, "Never will we be struck except by what Allah has decreed for us
قُلْ لَنْ يُصِيبَنَا إِلا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَنَاAnd whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned; but He pardons much.
وَمَا أَصَابَكُمْ مِنْ مُصِيبَةٍ فَبِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَيَعْفُو عَنْ كَثِيرٍIndeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْAnd He the Exalted decreed both the good deeds and the bad deeds, and guided the servant to do the good deeds, but did not guide the sinners to leave the bad deeds, for a profound wisdom and causes that the servants bring about. And He the Exalted is the Praiseworthy in every state, due to the perfection of His knowledge, the perfection of His wisdom, and His justice.
