Ruling on entering the place of relief with something containing the remembrance of Allah and verses of the Qur'an

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: A questioner says: I entered the place of relief with me some papers containing the remembrance of Allah the Exalted and verses of the Qur'an. Is there a sin on me for that?

A: It is disliked to enter the place of relief with something containing the remembrance of Allah; because it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that when he intended to enter the place of relief, he would remove his ring; because it was written on it: Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
But if a safe place to put the papers is not available until he exits the place of relief, then there is no blame on him for entering with them; because he is compelled to do so. And Allah the Exalted said in His noble Book:
while He has explained in detail to you what He has forbidden you, excepting that to which you are compelledوَقَدْ فَصَّلَ لَكُمْ مَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِلا مَا اضْطُرِرْتُمْ إِلَيْهِ
[Al-An'am 6:119]
the verse [al-An'am: 119].
So if Allah has permitted the forbidden in case of dire necessity, then the disliked is even more so, and success is from Allah.
