He spoke about some of the innovated affiliations and the claim to the people of the Sunnah and the community

The Shaykh: These affiliations are, first, innovated, and second, they divide the unity of the word. I am displeased with them. As for the affiliation to the infallible Salaf, this is something the soul finds reprehensible! We do not know where this claim comes from!
Therefore, we say there is a vast difference between this affiliation to the righteous Salaf and any other affiliation, whether it is a sectarian or partisan one. And when the clear and obvious differences between the first, correct affiliation and the other, incorrect affiliations are clarified, the Muslim is then satisfied with the permissibility of such an affiliation to the righteous Salaf.
