Ruling on saying: So-and-so is seeking the lineage of Allah and your lineage

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
What is your opinion of what some people say when they wish to propose a marriage for a man to another man’s daughter? They say to the woman’s guardian: “So-and-so is seeking the lineage of Allah and your lineage.”

My opinion is that this phrase, where the suitor says: “So-and-so is seeking the lineage of Allah and your lineage” is a reprehensible phrase; because Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has no lineage. Allah is One, the Unique, the Single, the Eternal. Also, even the phrase “your lineage” is a customary expression; because lineage in the Arabic language refers to kinship.Allah the Exalted said:
And it is He who has created from water a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriageوَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ مِنَ الْمَاءِ بَشَراً فَجَعَلَهُ نَسَباً وَصِهْراً
[Al-Furqan: 54] So lineage refers to kinship, and in-laws are the relatives of the wife.
