Greeting the Reciter of the Qur'an After the Voluntary Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: What is better for the person who is next to the reciter of the Qur'an? Should he greet him and shake his hand after he finishes the greeting prayer of the mosque, or is it better not to interrupt his recitation and keep him occupied with the recitation?

A: The Sunnah is to greet him and shake his hand; for it is established in the authentic hadiths from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
When two Muslims meet and shake hands, their sins fall off them just as the leaves fall off a dry tree.إذا التقى المسلمان فتصافحا تحاتت عنهما ذنوبهما كما يتحاتّ عن الشجرة اليابسة ورقها
.
And Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
The Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when they met, would shake hands, and when they returned from a journey, they would embrace.كان أصحاب النبي ﷺ إذا تلاقوا تصافحوا، وإذا قدموا من سفرٍ تعانقوا
. It was narrated by al-Tabarani, and its narrators are relied upon in the Sahih.
And because in that there is an affirmation of affection, comfort, and getting to know one another among the Muslims, and interrupting the recitation for a temporary benefit is a required matter. And Allah is the guarantor of success.
