Explanation of the author's (may Allah have mercy on him) statement: "… Chapter on the Accusative Case of Nouns …"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Chapter on the Accusative Case of Nouns". This is an instance of attributing a description to the thing described, meaning the chapter on nouns in the accusative case. The author's (may Allah have mercy on him) approach is among the best I have seen, because he first mentioned the nominative cases, then the accusative cases, and will then mention the genitive cases, so that a person is fully informed. How many can the nominative cases exceed?
The student: Seven.

The Shaykh : Seven things. The nominative cases are seven. How many can the accusative cases exceed?
The student: Fifteen.

The Shaykh : Fifteen. This is a comprehensive list that benefits the student of knowledge. If he knows from the start that there is no nominative case other than these seven, he is at ease. If he knows that there is no accusative case other than these fifteen, he is also at ease. Is that clear? There is nothing in the Arabic language in the accusative case outside of these fifteen.
