The Ruling on Associating with Those Who Raise Doubts

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This man has a colleague at work who constantly raises doubts against him. The latest doubt he raised was: "If you do the work of Satan..." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
were it not that this would be too difficult for my Ummahلولا أن أشق على أمتي
Sunan an-Nasa'i 532Sahih (Darussalam)
He constantly raises doubts against this person. What should he do with him?

Answer:
He should leave him alone and say to him: "Do not speak to me."
The student: Should he boycott him?
The Shaykh: If he speaks to him about something that hurts him, he should say to him: "Do not speak to me, my brother."
Q: This man says: "If you do the work of Satan..." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
were it not that this would be too difficult for my Ummahلولا أن أشق على أمتي
Sunan an-Nasa'i 532Sahih (Darussalam)
?
A: If it were not that I would cause difficulty, I would have ordered them to use the miswak. And what is wrong with that?
The student: The Prophet said it.
The Shaykh: And what does he say to him?
Q: His intention is contradictory. You do not say "if," but he said in the hadith: "if it were not."
A: No, this is one thing and that is another. When the decreed matter has occurred, one says: "If I had done such and such, if I had gone to the doctor it would have been such and such, if I had traveled it would have been such and such." This is what is forbidden: saying "Allah decreed it and what He willed happened." As for "If it were not that I would cause difficulty to my Ummah, I would have ordered them to use the miswak," this means: if it were not for the hardship, I would have done this. May Allah have mercy on His servants; there is no contradiction here.
Q: Is this man to be boycotted?
A: No, he is to be taught and guided.
