The Meaning and Ruling of Applying the Term "The Maker" to Allah the Exalted?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Applying the term "The Maker" to Allah?
That is: The Maker of the universe, in the sense of affirmation, not in the sense that He is described by it. It is permissible to say "The Maker," but if one said "The Creator," that would be better; because the Shari'ah came with "The Creator," and it came with the verb for making:
[It is] the work of Allah, who perfected all thingsصُنْعَ اللَّهِ الَّذِي أَتْقَنَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ
[Surat al-Naml: 88], but we do not know that "The Maker" was mentioned in the texts. However, they expressed it just as one says "The Existent" or "The Thing," in the sense of negating any argument against it.
It may also be said in the sense of clarifying things to the intellects. Allah has given people intellects by which they understand and comprehend what benefits them and what harms them. So the servants know, meaning they submit to this Manager of the universe and the One who sustains this universe. In the fitrah (innate natural disposition) of man is the exaltation of this One who created this universe, managed this universe, and placed in it what He placed. So this intellect continues to grow and increase in submission, and increase in humility toward this One who created this world, and in turning to Him and clinging to Him, until knowledge is perfected. Then the messengers came to perfect this knowledge, support it, defend it, and detail it; so that this rational human being and this rational jinni may be at the peak of their insight into their Creator and Maker, and in fulfilling His right, and leaving what angers Him. For the souls and intellects of the servants are created with these things: with submission, and with humility and drawing near to the One in whose hand is management, giving, and withholding. So the rational being submits to this thing, and there is no Maker of this world except Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He).
