Moving the index finger during the tashahhud

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is the ruling on moving the finger during prayer, with details on all the cases where moving it is obligatory or recommended? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
The sunnah is that when one sits for the first tashahhud and the last tashahhud, he holds his fingers together and points with the index finger. He raises only the index finger and holds all his other fingers together, or he joins the thumb with the middle finger. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did this and that—sometimes he would hold them all together and point with the index finger, raising it upright as a sign of the oneness of Allah, and sometimes he would join the thumb with the middle finger, hold the ring finger and little finger, and point with the index finger. As for moving it, that is done during the supplication in the last tashahhud, specifically during the supplication. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would:
