The ruling on moving the index finger during the tashahhud

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The last question we are presenting in this episode: In the final tashahhud of the prayer, the index finger continues to move until we say the taslim. Did this come from the Sunnah of our Master Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)?
Answer: What is reported regarding the index finger is that it is standing, pointing with a standing gesture that involves a slight bend. This is the Sunnah as it came in the hadiths from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), from the hadith of Ibn 'Umar, the hadith of Wa'il ibn Hujr, and other hadiths. As for the movement, it was reported in some narrations during supplication. Some scholars said that the intended meaning of the movement is the pointing gesture, and that it does not contradict the other reports. As al-Bayhaqi said: "Perhaps the movement is the pointing gesture, so there is no contradiction between the two narrations." The pointing gesture is raising the index finger in an incomplete manner, a sign of tawhid (the oneness of Allah), a sign that Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) is the One in His essence, in His names and attributes, and in His right to be worshipped.
It was reported in some narrations that he might move it during supplication. So if one moves it during supplication, there is nothing wrong with it. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
