The Scale of Chastity in the Shari'ah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He asks about the scale of chastity in the Shari'ah?

Answer:
The scale of chastity is obligation. It is obligatory for the believer to be chaste from what Allah has forbidden, whether it be zina, intoxicants, or all sins. This is its scale in the Shari'ah: the obligation to refrain from what Allah has forbidden. Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) has made it obligatory for His servants to refrain from the prohibitions of Allah and to perform the obligations of Allah. So the servant must perform the obligations and avoid the prohibitions. Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) says:
And whatever the Messenger has given you - take; and what he has forbidden you - refrain fromوَمَا آتَاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا
[Al-Hashr: 7], and He says:
And do not approach immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealedوَلا تَقْرَبُوا الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ
[Al-An'am: 151], meaning: sins. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
