Purification of the Souls... and the Entry Points of Satan

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is the advice you would graciously give to those who describe themselves as committed and purify themselves, saying, "We perform the worship, the prayer, and the fasting," and saying, "We will enter Paradise, if Allah wills"? What is your advice to such people? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
My advice to them is to be committed and to stand firm in obedience to Allah and His Messenger, and to beware of showing off in worship and purifying themselves. However, if the need arises for them to say that they are committed to such-and-such, or that they are maintaining such-and-such, and they address people with this not for the sake of purifying themselves or showing off, then there is no blame on them. The advice is to stand firm, to remain steadfast, to ask their Lord for success and guidance, not to purify themselves, and not to show off to people. They should ask their Lord for success, praise their Lord for what He has made easy for them in terms of commitment, and maintain that. They should ask their Lord for steadfastness upon the truth. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good and do you good.
