The Ruling on Working in Stores That Sell Women’s Clothing

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He says: I work in a store that sells women’s clothing, so what do you advise me to do? May Allah reward you with good. Surely, you must have seen the way women behave in the markets?

Answer:
You know yourself best. If this job of yours may lead you to evil and fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) regarding women, then leave the job and seek another one. However, if it does not harm you, and you can use a method where this job does not harm you, and buying and selling can be done without fitnah, then there is no blame on you for that. You know yourself best, and you are more aware of the reality.
What I advise you is that your job should be something other than this job; because... women generally lead to fitnah, especially since one might be left alone with one of them to inspect the clothes and look at the clothes, in which case the fitnah would be greater and more serious. So seeking another job that does not involve fitnah is better for you and more appropriate. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
