The ruling on performing wudu' with the intention of a voluntary prayer, then performing an obligatory prayer with that wudu'

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If I perform wudu' for a voluntary prayer, is it permissible for me to pray the obligatory prayer with that wudu', since the intention was for the voluntary prayer?

Answer:
There is no harm in that. If a person performs wudu' for the Dhuha prayer, for example, and then the time for the Zuhr prayer arrives while he is in a state of purity, he prays the Zuhr, and praise be to Allah. The point is that he prays in a state of purity, whether that purity was for a voluntary prayer, or for reading from the mushaf, or for something else. He can pray the obligatory prayers and other voluntary prayers with it, even if he did not intend them, because the purity has been achieved, and praise be to Allah. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah bless you.
