Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The first message in this episode is from listener Muhammad Ismail Mahmoud from Jeddah. Our brother Muhammad has a number of questions, one of which asks: If I enter the mosque and everyone is busy reciting the Qur'an, should I offer the greeting of peace or not?

Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send prayers and peace upon His Messenger, upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance. As for what follows:
It is prescribed for one who enters the mosque while people are praying or reciting to offer the greeting of peace. The one who is praying responds with a gesture, and the reciters respond with words. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was once sitting with his Companions when he saw a man who had performed his prayer poorly. When the man finished and came to them, he greeted them, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned his greeting and said to him:
go back and pray for indeed you have not prayed.ارجع فصل؛ فإنك لم تصل
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2692Sahih (Darussalam)
They used to greet the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was praying, and he would return their greeting with a gesture—(peace and blessings be upon him)—yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
