Equalizing the number of worshippers on the right and left sides of the row

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The first message in this episode is one that reached the program from Hail. The sender of the message is a listener who referred to himself by the letters (S. K. S). Our brother says: There is a matter that has caused us much confusion, which is the straightening of the row from the right and left sides. If there are more people on the right side than on the left side, is it permissible for the imam to move those who are in excess to the other side so that the row becomes even, or should he leave it as it is? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send prayers and peace upon His Messenger, upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance. As for what follows:
It is not permissible for the imam to move the excess on the right side to the left side; rather, he should leave the matter as it is. This is because the right side is superior, and the right side of every row is superior. So if the right side has more people, there is no harm, even if the left side has fewer, and there is no blame in that. The imam is in the middle in his place. Yes.

The presenter : And what if the excess is on the left side and the right side has fewer?

Answer : There is no blame in that either. However, if he alerts them, for example by saying: “It is better for you to have the greater number on the right side,” that is by way of admonition, reminder, and encouragement.

The presenter : Yes, yes. May Allah reward you with good, and may Allah reward you.
