The Ruling on the Hadiths Regarding the Virtue of Reciting Surat al-Kahf on Friday

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A listener from Jeddah, al-Kandarah (M. S.), sent a message containing a collection of questions, among which was a question asking: Is there a hadith regarding the virtue of reciting Surat al-Kahf on Friday? And is this hadith, or one with similar meaning:
That whoever recites Surat al-Kahf on Friday, Allah will illuminate for him a light between the heavens and the earthأن من قرأ سورة الكهف يوم الجمعة أضاء الله له نورًا ما بين السموات والأرض
?

Answer:
Yes, there are hadiths reported on this, but they are weak, they are weak. If a person does that hoping for the virtue of it, that is good, and Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) did it.
The point is that weak hadiths in this matter are used for the virtues of deeds. The scholars use weak hadiths for virtues and for encouraging them, especially if some of the Companions did it. This is what strengthens those hadiths and indicates that they have a basis. So if he recites it, reciting al-Kahf on Friday, there is great good in it and great virtue, and he may hope for what is reported in the hadiths. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
