The ruling on praying after the Maghrib adhan before the obligatory prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He says: In the Maghrib prayer, some of the worshippers pray two rak'ahs before the obligatory Maghrib prayer, and they say that it is a preceding sunnah. Others do not pray a preceding sunnah, and they say that there is no sunnah before the obligatory Maghrib prayer. The question is: Does a sunnah exist or not? And what is the ruling regarding what was said? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
There is no regular preceding sunnah for the Maghrib prayer. However, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Pray before Maghribصلوا قبل المغرب
Then he said regarding the third time: "For whoever wishes." This indicates that it is prescribed, but not obligatory. If a person is sitting before Maghrib, and then the adhan is called, it is prescribed for him to stand up and pray two rak'ahs; because of this authentic hadith, and because of his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
Between the two adhans there is a prayer, between the two adhans there is prayerبين كل أذانين صلاة، بين كل أذانين صلاة
Sunan Abi Dawud 1283Sahih (Al-Albani)
meaning: the adhan and the iqamah. So if he prays two rak'ahs, he has complied and done what is prescribed. But it was not a regular sunnah that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) consistently maintained. Rather, it is prescribed for whoever is in the mosque when the adhan is called, to stand up and pray two rak'ahs, or for whoever enters after the adhan, to pray two rak'ahs as the greeting of the mosque; because of these two well-known hadiths. Yes. And the Companions also used to do it. The Companions used to pray two rak'ahs before the prayer when the mu'adhdhin called the adhan; they would stand up and pray two rak'ahs, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw them and did not forbid them from doing so. Rather, he commanded this, saying:
Pray before Maghrib, pray before Maghribصلوا قبل المغرب، صلوا قبل المغرب،
Bulugh al-Maram 2:264
Then he said regarding the third time: "For whoever wishes." Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
