Greeting the mosque after the Maghrib adhan and before the prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa number ( 18786 )
Q 5: What is the ruling on greeting the mosque after the Maghrib adhan and before the prayer
since the shaykhs in our area prevent it and take issue with those who perform it, saying that there is no voluntary prayer after 'Asr and before the Maghrib prayer in the Maliki school?

A 5: It is a recommended practice (sunnah) for anyone who enters the mosque at any time to pray the greeting of the mosque, due to the generality of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
If anyone of you enters a Mosque, he should not sit until he has offered a tworak` at prayer.إذا دخل أحدكم المسجد فلا يجلس حتى يصلي ركعتين
Sahih al-Bukhari 1167
, agreed upon for its authenticity. If a person is sitting in the mosque before Maghrib and then the adhan for Maghrib is called, it is recommended for him to pray two rak'ahs, due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
"Pray before Maghrib, pray before Maghrib" then he said at the third time, "Whoever wishes (to)"صلوا قبل المغرب صلوا قبل المغرب..، ثم قال في الثالثة: لمن شاء
Bulugh al-Maram 2:264
, narrated by al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud and al-Bayhaqi in his Sunan. And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
There is a prayer between the two Adhans (Adhan and Iqama), there is a prayer between the two Adhans." And then while saying it the third time he added, "For the one who wants to (pray).بين كل أذانين صلاة بين كل أذانين صلاة، ثم قال في الثالثة: لمن شاء
Sahih al-Bukhari 627
, agreed upon for its authenticity. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
