How do we deal with a shaykh of Ibn Hibban if he said he is trustworthy, but four did not narrate from him, while two narrated from him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner: Our Shaykh, regarding the authentication by Ibn Hibban.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner: A shaykh of Ibn Hibban, if he said he is trustworthy, but four did not narrate from him, while two narrated from him?

The Shaykh: Yes, I told you that in my commentary on *Tanqil*, following the researcher (may Allah have mercy on him), al-Mu'allimi, that if he is a shaykh of his and is known from other shaykhs besides Ibn Hibban, then one can be reassured about him. But if he is not known except by him, or if no one narrates from him except him, then it is a matter of suspension, meaning there is no consistent rule in it either.
