Is ritual purity required for the prostrations of recitation and gratitude?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Is ritual purity obligatory in the prostration of recitation and the prostration of gratitude? And is there a prostration after completing the recitation of the Qur'an, since we prostrate in gratitude to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) after completing the recitation of the Qur'an? The questioner is from Syria.
Answer: The correct view is that ritual purity is not a condition for the prostration of recitation and the prostration of gratitude; because a person may recite while in a state of ritual impurity and prostrate, and praise be to Allah, news that pleases him may come to him and he prostrates in gratitude, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to prostrate to Allah in gratitude when something that pleased him came to him, and he used to recite the Qur'an among his Companions, and when he reached a verse of prostration, he would prostrate and they would prostrate with him, and he did not say to them: "None of you should prostrate unless he is in a state of ritual purity." It is known that gatherings include those in a state of ritual impurity and those who are not, so if ritual purity had been a condition, he would have said to them: "The one who is not in a state of ritual purity should not prostrate." So his silence indicates that ritual purity is not a condition.
As for prostrating upon completing the recitation of the Qur'an, there is no basis for it, and leaving it off is preferable; leaving off the prostration after completing the recitation of the Qur'an is preferable due to the lack of evidence for it.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, Your Eminence.
