Ruling on praying voluntary prayers while sitting without an excuse

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is it permissible for me to pray the sunnah while sitting?

Answer:
There is no harm in that. There is no harm in a person praying any of the voluntary prayers while sitting. If he prays them while standing, that is better. If he prays them while sitting without an excuse, there is nothing wrong with it, and he receives half the reward. Yes. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray many of the voluntary prayers while sitting in the last part of his life—(peace and blessings be upon him). Yes.
