The ruling on one who leaves prayer due to old age and illness

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
You say: My father is an old man, and he is now very sick. He always wants one of the family members to sit with him. Then you continue describing his condition until you say: He used to pray and stand in night prayer, but now he does not pray because he does not know the times, as he cannot hear or see. So what do you advise us to do, especially since our fear for him is very great?

Answer:
If his mind is sound and has not changed, and he understands through writing or gestures, then when the time for prayer enters, he should pray. Likewise, all matters he needs to be taught should be taught to him by gesture, writing, or any method he understands, provided his mind is sound. However, if his mind has become disordered, then he owes nothing. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
