Prohibited and Non-Prohibited Breastfeeding

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
After this, a message was received for the program from listener Abdullah Abu Muhammad, an Egyptian national. He says: “About fifteen years ago, I married my maternal uncle’s daughter, and I had seven children with her. After this long period of marriage, I learned and realized that when I was a child, I drank milk from her mother’s breast when she gave birth to her eldest brother. Is it permissible for our marital relationship to continue, and what is the ruling in Islamic law regarding this situation that I was surprised by after this period of marriage and cohabitation between us? May Allah reward you with good?”

Answer:
If the reality is as the questioner stated, and that he drank from her milk once, then this does not harm, and the marriage is valid. This is because the breastfeeding that results in prohibition must be five breastfeedings, or more, with each breastfeeding being independent, where he sucks the milk and it goes into his stomach, then the breast is separated from his mouth, and then he returns.
Likewise, if milk is poured for him into a container and he drinks it five times or more, with each time being independent in its own right, then it is considered equivalent to breastfeeding. If milk is poured for him or milked for him into a container and he drinks, and then it is milked for him and he drinks five times, with each time being independent or more, then at that point the breastfeeding is effective, and it results in prohibition. As for drinking once, twice, three times, or a number he does not remember and does not know... whether it reached five or not, then this does not result in prohibition, and praise be to Allah. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
